Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is supporting a London-based BMS Commissioning Engineer role with five days onsite and a salary up to £75,000 per year. You will design, configure and support BMS software for commercial projects, with emphasis on HVAC control strategies and system integration across BACnet, Modbus and KNX.

You will work with major end clients on technically demanding environments, including data centres or critical infrastructure, and you will be responsible for fault diagnosis,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project engineering experience in construction with BMS and control systems.
• Software experience with Distech, Niagara and Trend.
• Projects valued between £1 million and £3 million.
• Experience in data centres or critical infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of Metasys, Tridium, Trend or other OEM BMS platforms.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving in live buildings.
• Experience managing health and safety in a construction environment.
• Valid Safe Pass site card, First Aid certification and SMSTS or SSSTS.
• Knowledge of contractual procedures and the Construction Act.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure BMS software and programme HVAC control strategies.
• Integrate building systems using BACnet, Modbus and KNX protocols.
• Create and enhance BMS graphics and supervisor interfaces; perform point commissioning and system adjustments.
• Conduct fault diagnosis in live buildings and optimise operation for energy efficiency.
• Maintain project documentation and promote standardisation across projects.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors; undertake risk reviews and uphold HSE and quality standards.
