Job summary

Impact Control Systems Ltd. is recruiting a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team for projects in London and the South East.

The role focuses on commissioning BEMS installations to meet project requirements and client expectations, while optimising energy performance and efficiency. You will lead commissioning activities, collaborate with project teams, perform functional testing, and generate detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Trend, Tridium or Siemens BMS platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge in building energy management systems.
• UK-based candidates only and able to work on-site across London and the South East.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning process for project installations.
• Coordinate with project manager and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and integration with building systems.
• Develop commissioning plans and ensure activities meet timelines.
• Perform functional testing of BEMS components to verify operation against design specs.
• Identify and resolve issues during commissioning and optimise performance.
• Generate commissioning reports and maintain project documentation.
• Act as on-site client contact, communicating progress and providing technical support.
• Provide training to building operators on BMS operation and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated on industry developments and contribute to methods and tools.

Due to an increase in workload, Impact Control Systems are recruiting a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team working on projects in London and the South East.

The role will involve working on a variety of projects, ensuring that BEMS installations are commissioned effectively, meeting project requirements and client expectations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising building energy performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving sustainability goals.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;

• Lead the commissioning process for project installations
• Coordinate with the project manager and project stakeholders to ensure a smooth-running project and integration with other building systems to ensure seamless operation
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop commissioning plans and ensure that commissioning activities are completed in line with these timelines
• Conduct functional testing of BEMS components and subsystems to verify proper operation and adherence to design specifications
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting procedures to address system problems and optimise performance
• Generate comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any deviations from design specifications. Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and project documentation
• As the on site engineer you will be the first point of contact for the client, you will communicate commissioning progress, address concerns, and provide technical support as needed whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Provide training and support to building operators and maintenance personnel on BMS operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
• Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to building energy management systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of commissioning methodologies and tools

Requirements;
