Job summary

Crown House Technologies is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer for a major Dagenham data centre project. You will commission and validate complex BMS systems, configure controllers and sensors, and ensure seamless integration with HVAC and electrical networks.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, producing test records and handover documentation while maintaining safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS/BEMS Commissioning Engineer in building services or construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems and HVAC control applications.
• Hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, Trend or Siemens.
• Ability to interpret, modify and commission BMS control software and graphics.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus and other industry-standard interfaces.
• Good understanding of mechanical/electrical building services and their BMS integration.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial or technically complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning, testing and validation of BMS/BEMS across a large-scale data centre environment.
• Configure, test and commission BMS controllers, field devices, sensors and related systems.
• Undertake point-to-point testing, functional testing and system integration.
• Review and interpret control strategies, drawings, points schedules and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BMS software, hardware and communications.
• Support integration of BMS with HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, including critical cooling infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, subcontractors and commissioning teams.
• Support IST testing and demonstrate system functionality against project specs.
• Produce commissioning records, test sheets and handover docs.
• Ensure activities are delivered safely, to quality standards, and on schedule.
