Job summary

Crown House Technologies in Dagenham is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join the Enterprise Solutions team on a major NTT Data Centre project. You will lead commissioning, testing and integration of BMS across mission-critical environments, coordinating with MEP teams and project management to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of BMS platforms, protocols and graphics, plus a proactive approach to safety and quality on large-scale

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS/BEMS Commissioning Engineer within the building services or construction industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems and HVAC control applications.
• Hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, Trend or Siemens.
• Ability to interpret, modify and commission BMS control software and graphics.
• Experience with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and other industry-standard interfaces.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services and their integration with BMS.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial or technically complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• A proactive approach to health, safety and quality.
• Previous experience working within data centres or other mission-critical environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning, testing and validation of BMS/BEMS across a large-scale data centre environment.
• Configure, test and commission BMS controllers, field devices, sensors and associated control systems.
• Undertake point-to-point testing, functional testing and system integration.
• Review and interpret control strategies, technical drawings, points schedules and commissioning documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to BMS software, hardware and system communications.
• Support the integration of BMS with HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, including critical cooling infrastructure.
• Work closely with project managers, design engineers, subcontractors and wider MEP commissioning teams.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and demonstrate system functionality against project specifications.
• Produce accurate commissioning records, test sheets and handover documentation.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in line with project programmes.

What will the role look like?
