Job summary

GetFix Ltd is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Electrical & Controls Team. You will deliver HVAC and BMS projects, commissioning systems across boiler rooms, office buildings, and data centres.

The role requires a strong electrical background, hands-on commissioning experience in BMS/building controls, and willingness to travel nationwide. We offer a supportive, safety-focused environment with training opportunities and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Electrical background and technical training in relevant qualifications.
• Experience as a Commissioning/Software Engineer in the BMS/building controls sector.
• Experience carrying out control panel modifications and upgrades.
• Controller upgrades with testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience delivering BMS retrofit and replacement projects.
• Knowledge of Trend, Distech and Niagara systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical controls, BMS and HVAC applications.
• Ability to work independently on live client sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret BMS panel drawings and electrical schematics.
• Create, review and verify I/O schedules to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Carry out BMS control panel modifications in line with project requirements.
• Replace and upgrade BMS controllers, including testing and commissioning.
• Install secondary containment to support cable management and installation requirements.
• Commission BMS and control systems, testing, fault finding and optimisation, with remote support.

GetFix Ltd is looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Electrical & Controls Team. You will play a key role in delivering HVAC and BMS projects, commissioning systems across a range of environments, including boiler rooms, office buildings and data centres.

Key Responsibilities

What you'll have

• Electrical background, with relevant qualifications and technical training.
• Proven experience working as a Commissioning and Software Engineer within the BMS or building controls sector.
• Experience carrying out control panel modifications and upgrades.
• Proven experience completing controller upgrades, including testing and commissioning.
• Experience delivering BMS retrofit and replacement projects.
• Working knowledge of Trend, Distech and Niagara systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical controls, BMS systems and HVAC applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively on live client sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide as required.
