Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a BMS Control Engineer to join our Projects team in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. This office & site-based role focuses on commissioning and delivering BMS projects, ensuring systems meet specifications and are ready for operation.

The role involves testing, reporting, and collaborating with Project Engineers, managers and electrical teams throughout the project lifecycle. A background in BMS commissioning and HVAC controls, plus strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning Building Management Systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC controls and BMS applications.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently and as part of a team.
• Electrical qualifications (HNC/HND or BCIA) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commission BMS control systems on customer sites.
• Carry out point-to-point testing, functional testing and system validation.
• Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Assist with control strategies, graphics and system design where required.
• Support project delivery and attend site meetings.
• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors and clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify and report project issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

BMS Control Engineer

Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent (Office & Site Based)
Salary:£40,000 - £55,000 + Company Car/Allowance + Excellent Benefits

My client is a well-established Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist delivering high-quality control solutions across a wide range of commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a BMS Control Engineer to join their experienced Projects team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with commissioning experience who enjoys working on varied projects, producing high-quality technical work and collaborating with project teams from design through to completion.

The Role

As a BMS Control Engineer, you'll be responsible for commissioning and delivering BMS projects, ensuring systems are installed, tested and operating to the required specification. You'll work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers and electrical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Commissioning BMS control systems on customer sites.
