Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements for the role include:

• 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP / BMS (building management system)/ BAS (building automation system) role
• Good knowledge of Building Automation & HVAC Systems in a Mission Critical environment
• Understanding of automation systems architecture and operation
• Strong collaboration skills within a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure BAS activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
• Lead by example, promoting company health & safety policies and procedures
• Maintain full knowledge of the project BAS and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
• Conduct site inspections of BAS works for quality and compliance
• Coordinate system installation to meet CSA and MEP quality standards and advanced Beneficial Use requirements
• Monitor building automation systems to ensure operation within specified parameters
• Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to progress system installation in line with the master schedule
• Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete BAS works successfully
• Maintain lockout/tagout logs as per SOPs
• Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to enhance program delivery
• Chair and participate in project meetings with stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports
• Maintain records of critical activities
• Support the project team during commissioning
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
• Review and ensure delivery of construction and commissioning programs, work execution documents, BOMs, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
