Job summary

Barclays seeks a Design System Product Owner to lead the Blueprint design system, aligning vision with product roadmaps and governance. You will collaborate with design, engineering, and platform teams to drive adoption and ensure scalable, accessible digital experiences across the bank.

Based in Manchester, Knutsford, or Northampton, you will prioritise initiatives, balance demand across tribes, and influence investment decisions to deliver measurable value for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience defining product strategy, roadmaps and priorities for complex digital products.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across a diverse organisation.
• Experience using data, customer insight and business outcomes to inform product decisions.
• Deep understanding of enterprise design systems, accessibility standards and design-to-code workflows.
• Ability to translate demand into clear, actionable backlog items that deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and tech teams to enact the product roadmap.
• Support development and implementation of the product strategy and communicate with stakeholders and the dev team.
• Gather and prioritise product requirements based on business value and feasibility.
• Develop assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimisation within Barclays' standards.
• Stay current with industry trends to adopt new approaches in product development.
