Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is recruiting for a part-time Blow Moulding Machine Operator in Birkenhead, Wirral. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays, 06:00 to 18:00, supporting the production of PET bottles in a busy technical department.

The ideal candidate will have experience with stretch blow moulding machinery, a solid understanding of mechanical concepts, and a willingness to develop engineering skills. An FLT licence is desirable and accommodation for shift work is typical.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the Two-Stage Stretch Blow Mould Machine (SMI machine - Rotatory type).
• Operate and monitor machinery to produce PET bottles, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Perform mould changeovers and accessory installations.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and basic maintenance tasks to maintain machine performance.
• Work with the operations team to meet production targets.
• Manage and monitor preform process parameters, conditioning of preforms, and coordinate with the operations manager.
• Document machine parameters, maintenance activities, and production records.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in identifying and resolving machine malfunctions or product defects.

Blow Moulding Machine Operator | Birkenhead, Wirral | Part Time | £14.25 per hour

Our client is a privately owned company specialising in producing and supplying household laundry and cleaning products. They supply several national and international customers with their own brand of laundry and cleaning products.

They have laboratory, blending and packing facilities at their Birkenhead premises to produce household, laundry and cleaning products. They develop, scale up and produce all their formulations in-house, which are blended and packaged at their manufacturing facilities in Birkenhead.

The Role

They are seeking a full-time Blow Moulding Machine Operator to join their expanding team and work in their technical department.

The working hours are Saturday and Sunday, 06:00 to 18:00.

Key Responsibilities
