Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Blockage Supervisor to safeguard public health by maintaining the integrity of our subterranean sewer network. The role involves leading blockage crews, ensuring safety, and coordinating with management to optimise planning and resource use.

Candidates should have field-based drainage experience, strong communication skills, and a customer-service mindset. The position includes on-site work with potential out-of-hours standby shifts to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven track record in customer service.
• Experience in field-based drainage or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for Blockage crews and provide guidance.
• Coordinate with Operations Management to improve planning and productivity.
• Promote safe working practices and communicate safety alerts.
• Ensure fleet, plant and equipment availability for teams.
• Mentor and train new team members and integrate them into the team.
• Develop and maintain strong client and public relations.
• Support recruitment and resource identification as needed.
