Job summary

ForFarmers UK Limited is seeking a Blends Plant Operator to support the production of blends to specification. The role reports to the Blends Plant Team Leader and emphasizes achieving quality, safety, and UFAS compliance in daily operations.

Responsibilities include running blending processes efficiently, communicating issues, maintaining hygiene, and reducing waste while ensuring environmental and energy management systems are followed.

Responsibilities

• To produce blends to the required specifications and maintain effective quality control in order to meet the requirements of the quality assurance scheme as specified
• Communicate to Colleagues and other departments if there are any issues in achieving the plan
• Ensure Environmental/Energy management system is followed and adhered to complying with BS EN ISO 14001/50001
• Ensure the site is held to the highest standard of H&S, any issues are communicated in a timely manner and actions completed
• Maintain site processes/standards in line with the UFAS code of practice and company procedures
• To ensure that the working area is maintained to an acceptable standard of Hygiene throughout each working day
• Run the blending operation process in an efficient manner to deliver the production plan on time
• Communicate all issue/delays against the plan to colleagues and other departments
• Proactively reduce any areas that actively are generating waste
• Maintain the routine maintenance tasks and cleaning schedules
• Optimise utilisation of site space and reduce inventory where possible
