Job summary

AIS is seeking a Blending Operative in Skelmersdale to support manufacturing operations by carrying out blending activities safely, accurately and in line with approved procedures. You'll help prepare, weigh and process materials to deliver high-quality products on time while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will weigh, stage and dispense materials with full traceability, complete batch documentation, and operate weighing systems, scanners and handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out blending preparation and support activities per procedures and batch records.
• Pick, stage, weigh and dispense materials with full traceability and stock control.
• Complete batch documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate equipment, weighing systems, scanners and handling equipment safely.
• Verify material identity, batch numbers, labels, release status and expiry dates.
• Maintain housekeeping, contamination control and line clearance in blending.
• Follow COSHH, PPE guidance and safe working procedures for materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality and productivity.

Blending Operative Skelmersdale £27,600.00 per annum

The role:

AIS is looking for a Blending Operative to support our manufacturing operations by carrying out blending activities safely, accurately and in line with approved procedures. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials are prepared, weighed and processed correctly, helping us deliver high-quality products to our customers on time while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and operational excellence.

What will you do as our Blending Operative:

• Carry out blending preparation and support activities in accordance with approved procedures, work orders and batch records.
• Pick, stage, weigh and dispense materials accurately while maintaining full traceability and stock control.
• Complete batch documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operate equipment, weighing systems, scanners and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Verify material identity, batch numbers, labels, release status, expiry dates and quantities before use.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, contamination control and line clearance within the blending area.
• Follow COSHH requirements, PPE guidance and safe working procedures when handling materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.
