Job summary

Medik8 is seeking a Blending Operative for our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury. You will oversee batch manufacture, ensuring GMP compliance and safety while maintaining high quality standards in a fast-growth skincare environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday onsite from 6:00 to 14:30, with salary between £27,000 and £32,000 depending on experience. A pre-employment medical questionnaire will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a similar chemicals/process role in a GMP environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid Maths and English skills - must be competent to read and understand numbers, batch cards and follow work instructions.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills and able to work under pressure, and to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out batch manufacture activities in GMP-compliant manner.
• Manufacture products per batch sheet and specification.
• Analyse batches during production and record observations.
• Operate and monitor production equipment safely and competently.
• Report deviations from procedures promptly to the appropriate parties.
• Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Immediately report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
• Monitor raw materials requirements and inform supervisor when finished products are ready for movement to the warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene with full PPE compliance in the blending environment.

We are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Blending Operative to join our dynamic team at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury.

Reporting to the Blending Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various production processes to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the quality of our products.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growth environment and contribute to the success of a cutting-edge skincare company.

Working Monday to Friday onsite - 6:00-14:30

For this opportunity, we are offering between £27,000 - £32,000, depending on experience.

In more detail your role will involve:

• Ensuring that all process and operational activities associated with batch manufacture are carried out in compliance to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and the site's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Manufacturing products according to details and instructions stated on the formulation batch sheet and specification.
• Analysing batches during production and recording observations.
• Operating and monitoring equipment used in the chemical production process, guaranteeing safe and competent operation of machinery.
• Reporting in writing any deviations from the procedures immediately to the appropriate parties.
• Completing all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Immediately reporting any accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
• Monitoring raw materials requirements and informing supervisor when finished products are suitably packaged for movement to the warehouse.
• Maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene within the Blending environment, following full PPE requirements.
