Job summary

Booths is recruiting for a part-time Bistro Assistant at our Preston Central Office and distribution centre canteens. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with shifts 8.45am–1.45pm.

You will help prepare and serve breakfasts and lunches for colleagues, uphold Booths’ quality and service standards, and maintain strict hygiene in all areas. We seek a positive, customer-focused individual with great communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Positive, motivated attitude with a flexible, can-do mindset.
• Catering experience is a plus but not essential, as full training is provided.

Working Pattern

This is a part time position with a contract of 20 hours per week. This role is based across our Central Office and two Distribution Centre canteens.

The days/times that we are recruiting for and would like you to be available to work are:

Monday to Thursday 8.45am - 13.45pm. There are no evening, weekend or split shifts. However, a flexible approach is essential to help provide cover during periods of holiday or sickness.

The Role

As part of our Bistro Catering team, you’ll help provide delicious breakfasts and lunches for Booths colleagues across our Central Office Bistro and two Distribution Centre canteens.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our colleagues by preparing and presenting food using the same quality products you’ll find in our stores. You’ll provide friendly, efficient service while maintaining Booths’ high standards of quality and customer care.Food hygiene, cleanliness and safety are essential to everything we do. You’ll help ensure that all food preparation and service areas, equipment, tools and utensils are kept clean and hygienic, supporting our commitment to working safely and meeting all legal requirements.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a positive, motivated and customer focused individual with excellent communication skills and a flexible, can do attitude. Catering experience would be an advantage, but it’s not essential, as full training will be provided.
