Job summary

Senior Qualified Social Worker - Child Protection Enquiry Team
Birmingham Children's Trust

Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: B30 3BN, Birmingham

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection Enquiry Team at Birmingham Children's Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist safeguarding team, undertaking child protection enquiries, completing assessments and ensuring children receive the support and intervention they need at the earliest opportunity.

You will work collaboratively with families and partner agencies, managing complex cases while ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled in line with current legislation and safeguarding procedures.

Key Skills Required:

• Previous experience within Child Protection, Duty and Assessment, MASH or Children's Services teams
• Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding legislation
• Experience undertaking Section 47 enquiries, risk assessments and care planning
• Excellent assessment, communication and report-writing skills
• Strong multi-agency partnership working abilities
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and make effective decisions
• Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work qualification - Degree or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• Previous experience within Children's Services
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory practice
