The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Birmingham is hiring an Ambitious Compliance Officer to drive real impact in Financial Services. The role focuses on translating regulatory updates into practical policy and supporting FCA reporting and audits.

You will monitor changes, conduct reviews, deliver training, and investigate incidents. A few years in FS compliance and an ICA or similar qualification are advantageous. Hybrid working available in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• A few years’ experience in a compliance role within Financial Services or a closely related regulated sector.
• Solid working knowledge of FCA rules and how they apply day to day.
• Sharp attention to detail. Compliance work punishes sloppiness.
• Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when something isn’t right.
• A relevant qualification (ICA or similar) is useful, though not always essential if experience speaks for itself.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory changes affecting the firm’s Financial Services activities and translate them into practical policy updates
• Conduct compliance monitoring reviews across business functions and report findings to senior management
• Support the business through FCA-related reporting requirements and internal audits
• Maintain and refine the compliance monitoring programme, flagging gaps before they become problems
• Deliver training sessions that actually stick, helping staff understand their regulatory obligations
• Investigate incidents, complaints and breaches, then write up clear, defensible reports
