Job summary

Lonza Group in Slough is seeking a Biotechnologist to develop and maintain inoculum cell cultures of mammalian lines within a cGMP clean room. The role supports production of clinical products at Lonza Biologics Slough and involves strict adherence to GMP and documentation practices.

The position is fully on-site with Friday–Tuesday shift pattern and weekend work. Candidates should have a life sciences background and experience in inoculum/cell culture is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• BSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with inoculum and/or cell culture is highly desirable.
• Good GMP knowledge and accurate documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inoculum cell cultures of mammalian lines under cGMP in a clean room.
• Perform cell counting, environmental monitoring, and aseptic activities to ensure quality.
• Conduct routine lab maintenance, equipment checks, stores management and cleaning.
• Prepare stock solutions and mediums; perform aseptic filtration as part of production activities.
• Keep batch records and log books up to GMP standards.
