Job summary

Revvity Discovery Limited in Cambridge, UK seeks a Logistics Specialist to support import and export operations for biological reagents, lab equipment and specialised materials. The role involves coordinating shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance and liaising with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in international logistics, knowledge of customs and trade regulations, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or Level 3 qualification, interest in logistics and import/export operations.
• Experience in import/export logistics, preferably in biotech, pharma or life sciences.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import/export processes including documentation and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
• Maintain accurate shipping records in line with SOPs and company procedures.
• Investigate discrepancies and delays, escalating risks to minimise disruption.
• Coordinate temperature-sensitive and cryogenic shipments and ensure proper packaging and transport.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Stores and Inventory teams to maintain stocks and correct vial handling.
• Record inventory movements and shipment tracking in ERP systems.
• Adapt shipping arrangements to evolving customs and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
