Job summary

Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, invites placement students to join the Biostatistics department in Cambridge or Uxbridge for up to ten months. You will gain experience in SAS/R programming, analyzing and interpreting clinical trial data, and applying statistical models to trial datasets.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements with a mix of office and home-based work, and collaboration with Statisticians, Programmers and Analysts across drug development.

Qualifications

• Excellent exam and course work grades from the first year of their degree (or higher qualification) in the stated discipline per role
• Good communication and organisational skills and a self-motivated, proactive approach to work
• An ability to work in teams and remain flexible to changing priorities
• A genuine interest in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry and a willingness to learn new areas
• Excellent data analytical skills
• For Statistics and programming roles: a strong understanding of statistics and/or programming and their application & ideally, experience in at least one programming language
