Job summary

The Boroviak Lab at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute within the University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support bioprinting efforts. The role focuses on developing bioprinted tissue models that recapitulate human biology in vitro and requires strong biology and tissue culture skills.

The post is fixed-term for 1 year, with opportunities to contribute to collaborative research and learn state-of-the-art bioprinting techniques.

Qualifications

• Excellent background in biology and laboratory experience.
• Experience with mammalian tissue culture and stem cell or organoid culture ideal.
• Experience in bioengineering, biomaterials, 3D culture or bioprinting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish and characterise bioprinted tissue models.
• Maintain infrastructure for bioprinting activities.
• Prepare and maintain cell cultures and reagents.
• Train students and visiting researchers in techniques and equipment use.
• Ensure correct safety procedures and best practices.
