Sonic Healthcare UK is seeking a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist for Histopathology at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow. The role involves dissection, embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry, and quality checks in a Monday–Friday shift. DBS check may be required, with opportunities for career progression within a leading UK pathology provider.

Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, salary up to £55,148 per annum with regional pay allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

About the role:

An opportunityhas arisen for an experienced HCPC-registered Specialist Biomedical Scientistwithin our Histology department based at Cellular Pathology Services, Watford.

Our department operates from Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm. We are looking for a candidate who have completed their IBMS specialist portfolio in Histopathology Department and can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills. The successful candidate is expected to provide Histology services including dissection, embedding, microtomy, cryotomy, special stains, Immunohistochemistry & able to perform quality checks.

You are expected to be proactive, motivated and a team player with an excellent communication skill. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to progress in their careers.

We are UKAS accredited and a recognised HCPC / IBMS training laboratory.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• HCPC Registered - include registration number with your CV and application.
• Extensive laboratory experience in Histopathology as Biomedical scientist.
