RWE Generation UK offers an engineering placement at the Markinch CHP plant in Scotland. Starting 28th June 2027, the full-time fixed-term role spans 13 months, with opportunities to lead projects and learn through on-the-job training.

The role focuses on process improvement, data interpretation, and testing to optimise plant performance and environmental quality. Collaboration with colleagues will be essential for developing practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Ideally pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree.
• Interest in plant performance and optimisation.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on an engineering project to improve site performance.
• Monitor plant performance through data analysis and report to partners.
• Provide recommendations for improvements with support from colleagues.
• Implement solutions to optimise asset’s commercial performance.
• Undertake chemical testing as part of process and environmental quality monitoring.
