Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience of tutoring 1:1 or groups of students.

TP-Tutors is on the lookout for an experienced Biology Tutor in Greenwich. As a tutor, you’ll be designing and delivering catch-up programs for young learners in either 1:1 settings or small groups.

We’ve seen a surge in demand for tuition, particularly to support students preparing for their GCSEs with specific subject requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing lesson plans for each of your sessions
2. Monitoring attendance, sessions & lesson engagement through our digital platform
3. Communicating with TP Tutors & Parents/Carers effectively
4. Making Safeguarding a priority
5. Flexibility to offer remote and in-person tuition

What we are looking for:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
2. Experience with primary or secondary-aged children
3. Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience
4. At least 2 years’ experience of tutoring 1:1 or groups of students
5. Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to learn
6. Experience in 1:1 tuition
7. Skilled at managing challenging behaviours
