Salary: GBP140 GBP200 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Biology Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. In this temporary role with the potential to become permanent you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while supporting the academic and personal development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver Biology lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and respect.

  • Participate in departmental planning and meetings, contributing to curriculum development.

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support individual progress and wellbeing.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1 2 years of teaching Biology in a secondary school, with a solid understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Biology or a related field, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: Proven classroom management skills and experience in differentiated instruction. Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.

DBS Check:
All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.

  • A strong track record of success teaching Biology at GCSE level.
