Job summary

You will plan and deliver laboratory-based teaching, assess student progress, and support learners in achieving academic and career goals within a supportive college environment.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a degree in Biology or a relevant scientific discipline.
• Teaching experience in FE, sixth-form, college, or post-16 environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills are essential.
• Desirable teaching qualifications such as PGCE, QTLS, or Cert Ed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Biology teaching to post-16 learners.
• Teach Level 2 and Level 3 programmes depending on experience.
• Prepare learners for examinations and practical assessments.
• Plan lessons that encourage participation and independent thinking.
• Deliver practical and laboratory-based sessions safely.
• Provide regular assessment, feedback and progress updates.
• Support students' academic development and progression.
