Job summary

Pioneering Medicines, part of Flagship Pioneering, is seeking a Co-Op to join the Technical Operations Team to advance cutting-edge biologics. You will work in the lab, help develop and evaluate formulations for biologics across multiple therapeutic areas, and contribute to a collaborative, founder-driven environment.

The role offers hands-on experience in a biotech setting with mentorship from scientists, and is paid at an hourly rate with a full-time, 40-hour work week in office.

Qualifications

• Hands-on and lab experience in chemistry, biochemistry, Engineering or related field.
• Great sense of urgency and willingness to learn and do new things in lab.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Effective and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of biologics formulation vehicles
• The creation and screening of multiple biologics and potential nucleic acid payloads
• The development of processes and techniques to improve yield and purity of drug products
• The evaluation of biologics/RNA, and formulations using cutting edge analytical approaches
• The examination of drug product characteristics and stability for pre-clinical use
• Routine documentation and presentation of data to cross-functional team members
