Job summary

Blaise Biogas is seeking an Operator to monitor and control an anaerobic digestion plant in West Malling, Kent. You will handle feedstock, monitor temperatures, pressures, gas production, and perform routine checks to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on operation, strong health and safety awareness, ability to follow procedures, and good record-keeping. On-site, 4 on/4 off shifts with 12-hour days. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to plant operation and maintenance.
• Strong health and safety awareness in industrial settings.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to identify abnormal operating conditions.
• Basic mechanical and process awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all areas of the AD plant.
• Receive, inspect and process feedstock.
• Monitor process parameters and alarms.
• Adjust plant settings within authorised limits.
• Maintain accurate operational records.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance.
• Support maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Ensure safe working areas and procedures.
• Report safety incidents promptly.
• Contribute to improvements in plant safety and efficiency.
