Job details

Arvin Sango Canada Inc. is a Tier I supplier of exhaust and structural vehicle components. Due to the implementation of new lines and expansion of our workforce, we have a new position for a talented and motivated Production Manager. This position is scheduled for straight afternoons.

Summary

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be the primary contact during the afternoon shift. This role involves overseeing all plant operations, providing leadership to Supervisors and Team Leads, planning and directing production, reviewing downtime, and ensuring company targets are met.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review and analyze production data; prepare reports as necessary.
2. Plan manpower adjustments, including temporary staff, for new projects or cost reduction activities.
3. Direct daily production activities to meet quality and delivery standards.
4. Establish or modify standard work procedures to align with production schedules.
5. Create, communicate, and monitor key performance measures and goals; develop corrective actions when needed.
6. Develop and oversee the annual budget for production departments.
7. Evaluate and monitor departmental purchases.
8. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance quality, scrap reduction, and productivity.
9. Assist staff in resolving work issues through continuous improvement strategies.
10. Support supervisors in employee relations, recruitment, and staff development.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Extensive leadership experience in a production environment.
• Ability to manage priorities and tasks effectively.
• Strong data analysis and improvement planning skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective team relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact well with people.
• Good knowledge of the Toyota Production System.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems, processes, and materials.
• Knowledge of budgets and financial statements.

Education

College or university degree in Engineering or Quality-related program.
