Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking an organised Technical Support Officer to work on the Biological Heritage Sites system and support BHS ecologists. The role emphasises data administration, GIS mapping and effective stakeholder engagement to protect local wildlife sites in Lancashire.

You will join a multidisciplinary team at County Hall, Preston, and benefit from a flexible working policy while contributing to land management advice and potential grants for site conservation.

Qualifications

• Excellent data management (including GIS) skills.
• Good communication and people skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with nature conservation principles and habitat management is desirable.
