Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Practitioner to join the Biochemistry team in the Specialist Sections. This permanent role offers two openings within a busy laboratory, performing semi-automated and manual assays across disciplines including stone analysis, electrophoresis, ELISA, HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS and trace elements.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4+ in Maths, English and Science.
• Science-focused Foundation degree or IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 2 or Level 4-degree apprenticeship in healthcare science or equivalent.
• Previous laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Processing and analysing large volumes of biochemistry samples.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in a busy diagnostic laboratory.
