Job summary

Discover International partners with an innovative biotechnology company to recruit a Senior Research Associate for Bioanalytical Assays. The role centers on ELISA-based assays, assay development, and regulated clinical sample analysis.

You will work onsite in Oxfordshire, performing ligand binding and cell-based assays and contributing to validation and SOPs, with practical training provided.

Initial six-month contract, full-time, Inside IR35, with hourly pay discussed according to experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industry experience performing ELISA assays, ideally with the MSD platform.
• Experience working within a regulated laboratory under GLP, GCP, GCLP or GMP.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals or a CRO.
• A relevant degree in biological sciences or a related discipline.
• Strong experimental discipline, attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform ligand binding and cell-based assays to support development programmes.
• Contribute to method development, optimisation and validation.
• Analyse clinical samples using approved procedures and quality standards.
• Prepare critical reagents, interpret experimental results and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain accurate electronic laboratory records and contribute to SOPs and technical reports.
