Job summary

Moderna in Oxford is seeking an experienced assay scientist to join the Bioanalytical and Molecular Assays – Ligand Binding Assays team. You will develop, validate, and execute bioanalytical assays supporting pharmacodynamic and immunogenicity endpoints for mRNA-derived proteins.

You will work in a fast-paced lab, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely data delivery, while leveraging Watson LIMS and LabVantage eLBN.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in biological sciences; minimum 5 years industry Biotech/pharma/CRO experience; MS with 3+ years accepted.
• Experience with Ligand Binding and/or Cell Based Assays required.
• Experience in regulated environments (GLP, GcLP, GMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development, optimization, and validation of ligand-binding and cell-based assays.
• Perform clinical sample testing across biological matrices per GcLP using LIMS.
• Deliver assay development and validation activities on schedule for milestones.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic lab notebooks.
• Prepare SOPs, technical reports, and data presentations.
• Review data and reports to ensure regulatory compliance and data quality.
