Job summary

VVB Engineering is seeking a BIM Technician to produce and coordinate CAD drawings and BIM models across projects. You will assist in BIM standards implementation and maintain up-to-date models and documentation to support cross-disciplinary coordination.

The role involves ensuring model clashes are detected and resolved, maintaining the CDE, and collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to deliver coordinated design information.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in Engineering/Design.
• Proficient use of Bentley MicroStation and Bentley OpenBuildings Designer.
• In-depth knowledge of BIM and 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery and coordination of projects from technical design through to construction, utilising Autodesk & Bentley software.
• Ensure effective, accurate and efficient draughting services to all projects and help meet time, quality and cost targets.
• Support BIM coordination and management teams in delivering project outputs and resolving technical issues.
• Maintain and contribute to the Common Data Environment (CDE) with accurate information sharing.
• Carry out model reviews, audits and clash detection to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and coordinated design outputs.
