Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: GBP42,600 - GBP64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role

Due to expansion and an increasing workload, SSEN Transmission is seeking a BIM Manager to lead the development of digital data and information management across energy projects in Scotland, including development, delivery, and handover phases.

You will be responsible for contributing to the development of BIM-related information requirements documentation, ensuring compliance with BS EN ISO 19650, validating information management processes and systems, and managing project data.

You will

• Support legal and commercial teams in contract preparation, PQQ development, and supporting information for digital implementation and information management on projects.
• Define and manage Exchange & Information Requirements (EIR) according to industry standards, governance, and project-specific needs, including BIM Execution Plans and collaboration with IT and GIS departments.
• Lead project-specific digital and BIM information initiatives, engaging with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, and managing data from various software and systems.
• Guide BIM Coordinators in model interrogation, coordination, federation, and clash detection to resolve design issues.
• Assist Project Information Officers in setting up and managing project spaces within the Common Data Environment (CDE) following BS EN ISO 19650 standards.

You have

• Extensive experience as a BIM or Information Manager on major infrastructure projects or as a Lead BIM Coordinator, preferably with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar CDE tools.
• Strong background in CAD and modelling for energy or infrastructure projects, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and related tools.
• Desirable experience with GIS applications, preferably Esri GIS and Autodesk communication tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, UK BIM Framework, and industry best practices for information management.
• Practical experience in model coordination, clash detection, and federation across multiple workstreams using Navisworks or similar.
