Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits supporting your family, finances, and wellbeing.

The role

Due to expansion and increasing workload, SSEN Transmission seeks a BIM Manager to lead digital data and information management development across energy projects in Scotland.

You will contribute to developing BIM-related information requirements documentation aligned with BS EN ISO 19650, validate information management processes, systems, and tools, and oversee project data management.

You will

• Support legal and commercial teams in contract preparation, PQQ development, and digital implementation adoption.
• Define and manage Exchange & Information Requirements (EIR) according to industry standards, including BIM Execution Plans (BEP), coordinating with IT and GIS departments.
• Lead project-specific digital and BIM information activities, engaging with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, and managing data across various software and systems.
• Oversee BIM Coordinators in model interrogation, coordination, federation, and clash detection to resolve design issues.
• Assist Project Information Officers in setting up and managing project spaces within the Common Data Environment (CDE) per BS EN ISO 19650.

You have

• Extensive experience as a BIM or Information Manager on major infrastructure projects or as a Lead BIM Coordinator, with familiarity in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other CDEs.
• Strong background in CAD and modeling for energy or infrastructure projects, with skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.
• Desirable GIS application experience, preferably with Esri GIS and Autodesk tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, UK BIM Framework, and industry best practices for information management.
• Practical skills in model coordination, clash detection, and federation across multiple workstreams using Navisworks or similar tools.
