Position summary

Job title: BIM Coordinator (Bentley MEP)

Contract type: Permanent

Business context: Egis is a global consulting and engineering firm working in construction, transport, and mobility sectors. Our UK projects include iconic infrastructure connecting communities and supporting environmental goals, with expertise in rail and transport systems.

Role overview: As BIM Coordinator, you will lead BIM implementation, ensuring high standards in project delivery, and coordinate BIM activities across the project team. This position is based in our London office, and candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in utilizing BIM software such as AECOsim/OpenBuildings and MicroStation.
  • Develop workflows and procedures in line with BIM standards.
  • Conduct BIM coordination meetings.
  • Manage CAD/3D models and workflows.
  • Implement BIM execution plans and manage clash detection using Bentley iTwin.
  • Validate BIM models and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Organize project documentation and BIM data efficiently.
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
  • Identify training needs and promote BIM technology adoption.
  • Explore innovative BIM solutions and contribute to standards development.
  • Coordinate with GIS specialists for data integration.
Skills and experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure/transport projects as a BIM Coordinator or Senior Technician.
  • Experience delivering projects under UK BIM Standards, including ISO.
  • Proficiency in Bentley software (ProjectWise, MicroStation, OpenRail Designer, AecoSIM/OpenBuilding Designer, Synchro).
  • Expertise in Bentley iTwin clash detection and conflict resolution.
  • Background in engineering, transportation, or construction.
  • Understanding of UK design standards (Network Rail, HS2, TfL).
  • Experience producing and validating BIM deliverables for PIM and AIM environments.
  • Knowledge of BEPs, TIDP, MIDP, and MPDT processes.
