Job description

The BIM Lead will support the BIM Manager in delivering high-quality digital construction workflows and ensuring project deliverables meet required standards and client expectations. This role is pivotal in driving full coordination across all project disciplines, with a particular focus on model integrity, clash detection, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans, standards, and protocols to ensure project consistency and quality.
• Federate digital models received from Task Teams, perform clash detection and data validation, and generate model health check reports.
• Identify and communicate modelling issues to the Design and Construction Leads, as well as the relevant Task Teams.
• Ensure successful delivery and implementation of BIM-related project deliverables.
• Oversee coordination of all project elements, ensuring alignment across disciplines.
• Chair regular coordination meetings with all contractors involved in the project.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project success.
• Monitor and report progress on MEP and associated services provided by subcontractors.
• Provide guidance and support to a team of BIM technicians.
• Liaise with subcontractors and design teams to align on project objectives.
• Support ongoing development and knowledge sharing within the BIM team and across the organisation.

Candidate Requirements

• A Level 7/8 degree in Building Information Modelling or a related Engineering/Building Services discipline. (An MEP background is a strong advantage.)
• Proficient in BIM tools, particularly Revit and Navisworks.
• Proven experience in coordinating architectural and MEP systems.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an engineering consultancy or contractor environment. Experience on data centre projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM procedures, protocols, and data management tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external partners.
• Sound understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
• Demonstrates sound judgement under pressure and is adaptable, patient, and professional.
