Job summary

McGregor Boyall is seeking a Modular BIM Coordinator in London to coordinate modular MEP solutions across bids and live projects. The role involves working with engineers, BIM teams and project stakeholders to ensure buildable, manufacturable designs through the full design lifecycle.

You will leverage Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 and Revizto to deliver detailed modular designs, assemblies and fabrication-ready data, while coordinating interfaces and logistics for offsite construction.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with BIM, MEP design, and modular delivery.
• Experience with BIM collaboration and model review platforms.
• Knowledge of modular construction and DfMA principles.
• Experience with fabrication‑led design and offsite manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate modular MEP solutions for bids and live projects.
• Coordinate MEP services from schematic information, drawings and equipment schedules.
• Develop detailed framework and modular designs, including associated ancillaries.
• Identify and resolve multidisciplinary interface issues throughout the modelling process.
• Produce module General Arrangement drawings.
• Create module maps and site installation drawings.
• Produce 3D renders and visualisations for presentations.
• Carry out detailed model reviews to support design feasibility.
• Develop and update modular-specific Revit families.
• Produce BoMs, schedules and project information.
• Create model exports including 3D DWG and Navisworks.
• Support digital collaboration through BIM 360 and Revizto.
• Incorporate project feedback, comments and lessons learned.
• Work closely with BIM Coordinators, engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs align with manufacturing, installation and logistical requirements.

Are you an experienced BIM Coordinator with a strong background in MEP, Revit and modular construction?

We’re looking for a Modular BIM Coordinator to join a growing Modular Delivery team, supporting the development and coordination of complex modular MEP solutions across both pre-construction and live projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of BIM, MEP design, fabrication and modular delivery, taking designs from early concepts through to detailed, manufacturing-level information.

The Role

As a Modular BIM Coordinator, you will work closely with engineers, BIM teams and other project stakeholders to develop efficient, coordinated and buildable modular solutions.

You will be involved throughout the design lifecycle, ensuring models consider buildability, manufacturing requirements, installation methodologies, logistics and multidisciplinary interfaces.

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Background in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience working across different RIBA design stages
• Strong experience with Autodesk Revit, Revit Fabrication and Navisworks
• Experience producing coordinated MEP models through to fabrication/manufacturing level
• Understanding of modular construction and DfMA principles
• Knowledge of MEP installation, buildability and manufacturing constraints
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams
• Familiarity with BIM collaboration and model review platforms
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good commercial and programme awareness
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
• A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
• Experience working specifically on modular MEP projects
• Knowledge of the opposite engineering discipline, e.g. Electrical experience alongside a Mechanical background
• Experience within data centres, mission‑critical, industrial, pharmaceutical or other technically complex environments
• Experience with fabrication‑led design and offsite manufacturing
