Job description

MWHTreatment is looking to strengthen their Delivery team with a BIM Coordinator.

We are seeking a BIM Coordinator to manage digital modelling for multiple projects, overseeing BIM technicians to create models that meet project requirements and BIM procedures. You will collaborate with project teams to produce design and BIM models, ensuring the quality and data integrity of 3D models through checks and verifications to ensure compliance with BIM standards, procedures, and guidelines.

You will provide line management, guidance, and support to assigned BIM staff. This role offers opportunities to expand your professional network within the @one Alliance and to develop your skills by working collaboratively with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Stakeholder Management, Environmental & Planning, and Construction Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Attending and contributing to design coordination meetings to resolve clashes and discrepancies within models, and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies, programme improvements, safety, and sustainability.

2. Using BIM models to identify potential design risks and mitigation measures, and sharing these insights with the design team.

3. Supporting the extraction of relevant data from BIM models to assist in the preparation of PCI documents.

4. Ensuring all design-related data is correctly structured and easily accessible within the models.

5. Supporting model catalogue management to streamline data organization and optimize the use of intelligent 3D models.

6. Working closely with technicians, engineers, technical managers, and other project team members to ensure accurate representation of design inputs in BIM models.

7. Providing technical support and guidance to design teams on BIM-related issues.

8. Supporting a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone is respected, heard, and treated equally.

9. Proactively researching and implementing innovative processes and workflows to optimize output.

Qualifications include an engineering diploma, degree, or equivalent, with extensive experience in mechanical and civil disciplines. Proficiency in Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap is required, with experience in water-sector assets and capital projects preferred. Experience in a design & build environment is advantageous.
