The role
We are seeking a Billing Assistant to join our newly formed central billing team within the finance department. As an initial member of the billing team, this will be an exciting opportunity to assist shape the role at an early stage.
You will be responsible for various day-to-day billing tasks that deliver accurate, consistent and timely invoicing as a core element of our working capital management. You will work closely with the Billing Manager and other members of a growing billing team to ensure a high level of service is delivered to our clients, both internal and external.
The role will require a high level of attention to detail whilst also demonstrating flexibility, adaptability and a growth mindset. Experience of billing within a legal or professional services environment is desirable, and exposure to e-billing and a good understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) practices would be beneficial. Above all else, an ability to demonstrate a commitment to excellent client service is essential.

About you
You will have experience of billing or similar finance administration, preferably within a law firm, intellectual property firm, or similar professional services environment.
With an ability to demonstrate taking responsibility for tasks being completed accurately and in a timely manner using your own initiative, whilst also contributing to the objectives of the wider Billing team and Finance department.
Good communication skills will be essential to this role, and you will be able to proactively identify and solve problems.
You will be able to deliver excellent client service, demonstrating an ability to approach your role with flexibility and adaptability. You will be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
