Job summary

EFFIGEST | Stratégie et Expertise Comptable in London is expanding its UK operations and seeks a French‑speaking Practice Manager to lead a small team of accountants, manage clients’ statutory and tax submissions, and drive growth in the UK market.

As a qualified ACCA or ACA, you will advise on local accounting requirements, maintain strong client relationships in French and English, and report to the Partner in France.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in French and English.
• ACCA or ACA qualified with at least five years in an accounting practice.
• Experience with limited companies, sole traders, VAT, CIS and SATR.
• Familiarity with French accounting principles and standards.
• Payroll processes understanding and compliance.
• Hands-on Sage Line 50 experience for management accounts.
• Strong communication with diverse clients in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Advising & servicing of clients on a daily basis
• Attending monthly and other ad-hoc finance meetings with clients
• Managing in-house team and junior apprentices
• Preparing / reviewing quarterly management and annual statutory accounts (both limited company and charity formats)
• Preparing / reviewing of management accounts
• Preparing / reviewing of quarterly VAT returns
• Preparing / reviewing Self Assessment Tax Returns including CGT, IHT and CIS.
