Job summary

Seddon Construction - Housing Partnerships Midlands in Birmingham is seeking a proactive Bid Writer to join the team. You will lead the writing and coordination of bid submissions, ensuring high-quality responses and timely delivery for tenders and PQQs.

The role covers development of technical and non-technical quality responses, production of expressions of interest, visuals, and maintaining bid libraries and case studies. Strong MS Office and InDesign skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience of writing and submitting successful tenders in retrofit/refurbishment markets.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to write and coordinate bids.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and prioritise.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office to a high standard.
• Adobe InDesign and CRM experience are desirable.
• Full membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the writing and overall coordination of bid submissions.
• Manage the delivery of quality documentation for bid submissions in line with tender deadlines.
• Develop and write technical and non-technical quality responses.
• Produce Expressions of Interest, approved lists and PQQs.
• Submit tender documents and add to the bid library.
• Produce graphics for submissions including charts and tables.
• Drive knowledge management for submissions.
• Capture feedback to enable continuous improvement.
• Monitor tender portals and communications for opportunities.
• Record, populate and use a bid library of previous answers.
• Maintain up-to-date case studies for Seddon Housing Partnerships.
• Keep and maintain the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop collateral and assist with admin duties.
• Support Business Development with production of visual material.
