Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Bid Writer to support our expanding Pre-Construction Team. Based from Essex, Avonmouth, or Stoke offices, you will translate technical information into clear, persuasive bid content, coordinating with Estimators and Project Managers to ensure accuracy and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of Bid Writing, Proposals, Estimating support, or similar roles within remediation, enabling works, earthworks, civil engineering, or groundworks.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and format bid responses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with tender requirements.
• Review tender documents (Phase 1 & 2 Reports, GI Logs, Remediation Strategies) to extract key information for written responses.
• Gather technical, operational, and commercial input from internal teams for bid content.
• Produce Scoping Letters, Method Statements, Programmes, and other narrative bid elements.
• Prepare standardised and bespoke content for PQQs, ITTs, capability statements, and supporting bid documents.
• Coordinate input from Project Managers, Engineers, and Senior Operations to ensure consistency across documents.
• Maintain and update bid library with case studies, CVs, standard responses, and project summaries.
• Attend client meetings (on-site, office, or virtual) to understand project requirements.
