Job summary

Vickerstock is partnering with a construction business to recruit an experienced Bid Writer for their Portadown team, offering hybrid working (3 days on site, 2 days from home) and a salary of £40,000-£45,000.

You will prepare and coordinate high-quality tender submissions and PQQs, ensuring content is clear, professional and persuasive across NI, ROI and the UK. The role includes contributing to templates, deadlines, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Bid Writer or similar bid coordination role.
• Construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing tender submissions and PQQs.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional and persuasive content.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and the confidence to gather information from different stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and contribute effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and coordinating high-quality tender submissions and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
• Producing clear, compelling and professionally presented bid documentation.
• Reviewing tender requirements and ensuring submissions address the client's evaluation criteria.
• Gathering and coordinating information from internal teams and relevant stakeholders to support submissions.
• Ensuring all bid documentation is accurate, consistent and submitted within the required deadlines.
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of bid content, templates and submission processes.
• Supporting bids across residential, commercial and public works projects throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK.
• Working closely with the Bid Manager and wider team to maintain the quality and consistency of submissions.

Bid Writer

Location: Portadown, Northern Ireland | Hybrid Working

Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with a construction business delivering projects across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK, to recruit an experienced Bid Writer for their team in Portadown.
Working alongside the Bid Manager and an established bid team, you will play a key role in producing high-quality, well-presented submissions that support the business in securing new work.
