Job summary

Sureserve, via its HI Group, is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to secure low carbon transition projects from our Nottingham office with hybrid working. The role blends storytelling with technical accuracy to produce clear, compliant tender submissions.

You will manage submissions, develop benefits-based proposals, and lead the bid process with sector teams, ensuring resource availability and high-quality final documents.

Qualifications

• Bid writing requires blending creative narrative with technical accuracy to produce clear, compliant submissions.
• Experience in energy/construction/maintenance/building industries is preferable.
• Able to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Familiar with electronic tender platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite desired.

Job description

We are looking to bring on board an experienced Bid Writer who can blend creative storytelling with technical accuracy to help us secure vital low carbon transition projects. This role offers hybrid working from our office in Nottingham.

HI Group is a specialist Managed Services Provider for Net Zero programmes. As part of the Sureserve family, we support clients in the Design, Build, Finance, and Operation of Low Carbon Transition Projects. Our services cover the entire lifecycle-from carbon baselining to post-project monitoring and verification- ensuring the highest standards of sector governance in renewable energy solutions and sustainable project development.

The Remit

• Manage submissions, PQQs and tenders
• Develop benefits-based proposals that articulate true customer value.
• Project management of the bid process, agreeing strategy with sector teams, whilst ensuring adequate resources to complete submissions.
• Manage resources throughout the bid process, ensuring all content is in place and taking ownership of the quality of the final submission, including client engagement
• Create high quality PQQ and bid documents, writing and editing content and document production
• Contribute to development and implementation of the Bid Improvement Plan

Required Skills And Experience

• First class bid writing skills with the ability to blend creative narrative with technical accuracy to produce clear, compliant, and persuasive tender submissions
• Energy/construction/maintenance/building industry experience is preferable.
• Ability to manage multiple bids in a a fast paced, ever-changing environment
• Working knowledge of electronic tender platforms.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office programs essential. Adobe Creative Suite experience strongly desirable.
