Job summary

Badger Group is seeking a proactive professional to lead bid writing and tender management across NHS contracting. You will work closely with clinical, operational, finance, HR, and governance teams to develop high-quality submissions that win and retain contracts.

The role focuses on end-to-end bid management, building relationships with NHS commissioners, and driving growth in the NHS and wider healthcare sector. Degree level or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of NHS commissioning processes, provider dynamics, and policy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and experience in corporate communications.
• Experience leading bid writing and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

Salary: £40K to £45k Per annum depending on experience

Hours: Full time

Contract: Permanent

Location: At Badger sites/ services across Birmingham and Solihull, and other sites as required by the role/ service development (in person)

We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded professional with experience in bid writing, tender management, or NHS healthcare contracting to lead the development of high-quality, compelling tender submissions that secure new business and retain existing contracts. Working closely with clinical, operational, finance, HR, and governance teams.

You will manage the end-to-end bid process, build strong relationships with NHS commissioners and key healthcare stakeholders, and help drive our strategic growth across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. If you have exceptional writing skills, strong attention to detail, an understanding of NHS commissioning and procurement, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes, we would love to hear from you.

Education & Qualification

• Educated to degree level in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• Strong understanding of NHS commissioning processes, provider dynamics, and healthcare policy.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior NHS and healthcare leaders.
• Experience managing formal corporate communications and brand-building activities.
