The Role

This role is a full time, office-based position.

In response to continued growth and increasing engagement with UK Government clients, we are seeking a Bid & Project Manager with experience in Ministry of Defence (MOD) procurement, Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks, and NEC contracting environments.

This role will lead the preparation and delivery of compliant, high-quality bids for public sector opportunities, while also managing the mobilisation and delivery of awarded contracts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in navigating complex procurement processes, ensuring strict compliance, and delivering value-driven project outcomes.

You will act as the focal point for bid and project coordination, ensuring alignment with government procurement regulations, security requirements, and commercial frameworks.

Responsibilities
Public Sector Bids & Contracts (MOD & CCS)
  • Lead end-to-end bids for MOD and UK Government via CCS frameworks, ensuring compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Interpret and respond to ITTs/SQs, analyse MEAT criteria, and produce high-scoring, compliant responses aligned to quality, technical, and social value requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and manage bid governance processes including approvals, and submissions via procurement portals (e.g. Jaggaer, Bravo, Atamis).
NEC Project & Contract Management
  • Support delivery of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (PSC, ECC), applying core principles (early warning processes, risk management meetings and programmes management and compensation events).
  • Develop and maintain project plans (Microsoft Project) and oversee contract administration and reporting.
Stakeholder, Governance & Bid Content
  • Act as central coordination point across internal teams, MOD, and suppliers; support senior leadership with decision-making through structured reporting.
  • Develop clear, consistent bid content aligned with government evaluation methodologies and maintain a reusable library aligned to CCS/MOD expectations.

The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.

Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant discipline and/or professional accreditation (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP) (e.g. Project Management, Engineering, Business, or similar)
  • At least one-year of commercial experience delivering bids within MOD, defence, or wider UK public sector procurement environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks and call-off processes
  • Experience working with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and their practical application
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for programme planning and tracking
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in structured bid responses
  • Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Familiarity with e-procurement platforms (e.g. Jaggaer, Atamis, Bravo)
  • Knowledge of social value requirements in public sector bids
  • Commercial or legal training related to contract management
  • Holiday – Bank holidays plus 24 days (increasing over service) + additional day off over Christmas
  • UK team building weekend at Center Parcs for employees and their families to attend.
