A leading contractor in Surrey is seeking a Bid/Preconstruction Manager to enhance its preconstruction team. The role involves developing strategies for tenders, monitoring bids, and providing technical input. Ideal candidates will have a background in bid management or early-stage preconstruction, effective communication skills, and a commitment to team collaboration.
We are recruiting a Bid/Preconstruction Manager to join a regional contractor based in Surrey. They have a number of new opportunities from existing clients and frameworks and are looking to increase their preconstruction team.
They target negotiated repeat business opportunities as well as framework opportunities and are secured on the DFE, Pagabo, SCF, and local authority frameworks. They work on bids in the education, health, care, and defence marketplaces but will consider 2-stage or negotiated work for key clients. They do not undertake single-stage high-risk developments. Projects typically valued between GBP2 and GBP20 million.
The company boasts an excellent preconstruction team comprising bid managers, estimators, design teams, building services, and commercial experts, who collaborate on each bid to achieve optimal results.

This role is suited for candidates from bid, design, estimating, or early-stage precon roles. Experience within framework bids and a desire to move to a national brand or escape Tier 1 frustrations would be ideal.
