Elvet Recruitment is working with a leader within the renewable energy supply market looking for a Bid Manager to join their team in the county of Durham area.

Operating within the market for over 12 years, partnering with one of the world's largest manufacturers for heating systems such as air source heat pumps.

Our client prides themselves on developing their workforce to be forward thinking and cutting edge within the renewable energy market. This IOS accredited company provides services across Solar Panels, Storage Batteries, Air Source Heat Pumps, Biomass Heating and Insulation.

This is a great time to get involved in the bids and commercial team within a progressive industry leading company.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Manage team of bid writers (currently two) allocating works, monitoring performance and increasing production whilst maintaining quality.
  • Review bids and answers before being submitted ensuring all key points are covered in depth.
  • Responsible for writing bids and contributing to answers – hands on role.
  • Mentor bid writers and strive for continuous improvement through lessons‑learnt sessions, create training and feedback sessions for the team.
  • Submit monthly reports on team member performances, weaknesses, strengths, etc.
  • Conduct quarterly one‑to‑one meetings with team members.
  • Work closely with our Bid Co‑ordinator to create project‑specific tender plans including checkpoints and progress.
  • Have a strong understanding of social value.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience within public sector procurement (social housing, local authority, capital works).
  • Knowledge of social value and how to score well economically.
  • Knowledge of frameworks and how they work.
  • Salary up to £60,000 DOE.
  • Office based (flexibility available).
