Brandon James Limited, a UK-based fire engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to own the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission and post-tender review. You will work with senior leadership and technical specialists to produce compelling, compliant bids while meeting deadlines.

The role requires excellent writing and project management skills, experience handling multiple bids, and comfort with tender portals and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience as Bid Manager, Proposal Manager or similar.
• Construction, engineering or professional services experience (construction preferred).
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent bids and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage the end-to-end bid process across public and private sector tenders.
• Monitor tender portals and frameworks to identify suitable opportunities.
• Coordinate bid strategies alongside senior stakeholders.
• Lead bid kick-off meetings and manage submission programmes.
• Produce, edit and proofread high-quality bid responses.
• Coordinate technical input from subject matter experts.
• Maintain and develop the bid library, including case studies, CVs and standard content.
• Ensure submissions are compliant, professionally presented and delivered on time.
• Support bid performance reviews and implement continuous improvements.
• Keep up to date with procurement processes and market developments.

Role - Bid Manager

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to take ownership of the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to submission and post-tender review.

Working closely with senior leadership and technical specialists, you'll coordinate multiple bids simultaneously, producing compelling, compliant and high-quality submissions while ensuring deadlines are met and bid processes are continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial awareness and understanding of procurement processes.
• Experience using tender portals and framework agreements.
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
